changing pressure sensor?

i broke the nipple on my pressure sensor to my 88 gtu so i headed down to my mechanic who had a spare one. we put it in and every thing seemed to be fine. but i'm wondering can using a different one from the same year cause problmes, like for me to run to rich because think that is happening?

As long as you stick with the turbo/ non turbo variety, you shouldn't have a problem. If in doubt of the boost sensor function, read the input out at the ECU (for voltage, to ground). Should have about 3.5v key on, 1.25v at idle, 1.8v at cruise, about 3.3v WOT, and about .2v decel.
