FPR question

i just put in a walbro 255lh pump and it is causing my car to run rich (89 N\A) i want to get ride of the stock FPR and get an adjustable FPR so i can lean the mixture a little. the problem is the lack of aftermarket fuel rails. i would rather use the factory fuel rails but the FPR is built into the rail (on my friends 88 N\A the FPR unbolts). my question is what does everyone do with the factory FPR when going with an adjustable FPR?
thanks for the help.

I think the S4 RX-7s (86-88) have banjo bolts on the ends of the fuel rails. I took out the banjo bolts and installed AN fittings. I got an ajustable pressure regular from Jegs (part number 350-1758) Click the link in my sig to see car. Once you get to the site, go to page 2. Thats how I got my fuel system set up. I think people with S5 cars (89-92) replace the fuel rails with rails from an earlier model.

Uh, why are you running such a high capacity upgrade fuel pump for your NA?

my bad. Here is the picture I was refering to though. As always, I take no credit for creating this fuel system scheme. It was someone elses idea.

AFTER I bought a K2RD secondary rail for my TII for 200 bucks... I saw a guy on EBAY selling BOTH fuel rails for the second gen RX-7 with the -AN fittings for 179 bucks...... THis might be an option for you.. go on ebay and do a search.

The other option is to cut the FPR off of your secondary rail an install another banjo bolt or an _AN fitting. I saw a few writeups on this. check the other tuner sites.

i know this thread is old... but..

why have the fuel go to both rails isntead of going to the primary then to the secondary? is that the only why the aftermarket FPR would work?
