It's a drag setup. If it is making 650hp, it's not on pump fuel, and the turbo is spooling likely no earlier than 5000RPM, and with the mild street port that he says is in the car, it is probably closer to 6000rpm. Since it's a street port, I doubt the motor continues to make power much above 8500RPM max, so that's not leaving much useable RPM range for driving. I'm really not sure that motor will make 650HP even with that turbo.

Sounds like a fun car, but a different turbo would be a much better match. I doubt he'll get his 15k out of it, but who knows.

Definitely a bad time to be looking for that kind of money, eventhough he may have more than that into it.

All in all it seems to be a nice car, just a few things I don't care for.

unless he has found a way to get drivetrain loss under 10% I seriously doubt that he is putting down 650hp. Fuel calculator says that with those injectors he could be make 730 flywheel hp at 100% injector duty cycle.

not to bash him or anything but at least be honest in what your selling.

Car is clean and well assembled. Probably has more than that in it.

We are cheap though (speaking from myself and rx7 friends standpoints), is going to be difficult for him to sell that car above ten grand.

Good luck with the sale though, i wish the guy the best.

I would be very very very skeptical he is making 500+ HP and using a mild street port, a Power FC and a Racing Beat Boost Controller no matter what Turbo he is using.

Seems over priced to me but he did say Or Best Offer. I'd offer $8-10K depending on how bad I wanted it and the over all condition in person of the car. Maybe more if he took off the Jumbo Jet rear tail and the 19's.

Wow.. is that 14,500 yen? I would never pay over 5k for a FC even if it had 0 miles on it.. with that money you can buy a FD and still have like 3k left over..

It's seems kind of Funny that when you have the car,you want Nothing but the Best.People sell you the best. Then Guys Praise you and are in Awe of you having that "bling' on your Car.
But when it comes to selling it?..NOPE."oh too Much Money.Part it out!, That car isn't worth it,You are Crazy asking that price"!
When you add up the parts(free labor.nobody ever adds the cost of labor),Then you Find that the car IS worth MORE than the Price that the person is asking.
Ya,maybe it is Better to Part out a perfectly Good car,OR,God Forbid!,sell it to Someone who actually appreciates what the Seller Did to the car,and the Quality of the Parts.
It's a Nice Car.It will make someone Happy..BUT not on this Forum..not to the guys who can Pick out Every Flaw from just the AD...(the haters of other People 's Pride and Joy.)
I've seen 30 thousand dollar FB's.Would I buy it NO,Would I trash it,NO.would I like it?Yes!.
.I can't understand it.I wish I could.I want a Car like that.
BUT if I ever did and went to Sell it,I wouldn't Sell it HERE..too many hypocrites ..I hope the guy sells it.and gets his asking price..ah..forget it..this Post will get buried anyways..Never Mind!..

Actually generally a stock low mileage FC will sell for more than most "Modified" or "Fixed Up" cars.

For example I saw a 1988 Turbo 10th Anniversary Edition that was 95% stock sell for $14,000 just a couple months ago in my area. Yes it had half the mileage of the car in the ad, but was mostly stock (other than tires, engine belts, new floor mats, etc). And it sold in a week.

So what does that tell me? It tells me that some kid that made a race car for the street, would have had better luck selling a S5 Turbo with 75K miles with no modifications, and no major tweaks. That guy lost money building that car that he will never ever recover. He tweaked it too what he thinks looks good, but now he has a temperamental race car for the street.

I don't know how many times I (and others) need to say it, but you will never ever make back even half the money that you spent when you radically modify a car like that.

This is why I never plan on selling my fc, I would feel like an *** to ask what it is worth when it is finished. I think it really comes down to the buyer, hey maybe this is someones dream car.

What its worth personally and to other people vary. In all honesty I would rather pay the extra cash to purchase a mint condition car, then to get one all modded out.
