ford probe fmic?

hey guys can anyone tell me if a ford probs fmic is any better than the stock t2 tmic ... and if its more restrictive?.. i picked one up for 30 cdn so i figured it would be good enough for my turbo na project im just running the s4 turbo and manifold .. with the twin scroll removed and the waste gate ported any input would be great

yeah, older bodied probes had a "gt" option which included a 2.2L turbocharged 4 cylinder

and i have a friend that actually used a stock tmic from the t2 and made piping to route it to the front.... works pretty good!

also the 626gt.....

but to my knowledge, the probes intercooler is smaller then the tmic of the fc..... so it would be a downgrade, but if its going up front, anything is better than the top mount setup of the fc's inter-heater

I thought the eBay intercoolers were pretty good for the money? Seems like that would be a much better choice for a budget FMIC...

just avoid eBay turbos and manifolds (or at least the turbos...).

ford had to stop putting turbos on their gt probes after the first couple of years cause they were faster than the mustangs! - who's gonna wanna buy the expensive mustwang when a cheaper 4-banger smokes it on the street?

The Probe intercooler was a nice upgrade for the 323GTX(1.6L) that I have but I don't think it would do much for the rotary.

the intercooler on my MX6 is small..and it's roughly the size of the top mount..the turbo(funny as hell) is about the size of a cantelope..but i can't complain it works..spins the wheels good enough to pull the car sideways(front end heads to the curb!)

well the whole reason for the probe was to replace the mustang
