Fog Lights???

I noticed factory foglights came standard with some 89- up models. Does anyone know if there is a way to make them fit on an 88. Looking through parts catalogues I noticed the bumper reinforce (attachment point) and the bumper cover were different in the above years. Will the frame allow for interchanging bumpers and reinforcement to accomodate the lights. I have tried hard through reading but can't come to a conclusion. If someone out there with more experience could answer this question I would be so grateful. THKS

No such thing as OEM foglights for a S4 (86-88) model.

You may have the dealer installed foglights. But not OEM wiring for foglights.

I've been trying to decide how to do some fog lights too. I have an 86 so i am in the same situation. I don't like most of the aftermarket ones i've seen. Anybody post some pics of their setup?

Thanks for the imput guys, I would like to see those escape lights. Does anyone have a good pic of a 89.... with the factory ones installed. I bought a set on ebay and even After stripping the front end, couldn't find a way to fasten them. I think with a 89 bumper reinforce which is larger they may. But not sure if it will fit my 88?

I didn't feel like putting my shoes back on, so i just took a picture from the door to my apartment.

Don't know who did it or when, but they wired it a bit odd. It's relayed through the headlights, so they're only on with the headlights and they're hooked up to a switch that is mounted below the steering wheel instead of the switch i've seen that's supposed to be in the center console where the Alarm light and AAS buttons are.

They look sweet. I really have a problem with the amount of light provided by the stock headlights. I see one of the guys here is planning on fabricating a new light setup. I may become a customer.

Stock fog lights on my 91 Turbo.... doesn't really help with how they are installed though. They have a bracket that mounts them in there somehow.

My '88 GXL has fog lights with an illuminated on/off switch, located with the AAS and security light, that only works only in conjunction with the headlights.

Considering the quality of my car, there's no reason to believe they're aftermarket. Dealer installed makes sense though.

the foglights are mounted on some brackets.. then the brackets are mounted onto the rebar.. foglights are held on by 2 screws and a clip.. this is for s5 foglights / daytime running lights

Thanks Turbo II and Danew for the pics, the rides look smart. I really needed to see what the setup really looked like. Anyone know if a 91 bumper and reinforce will fit an 88.
