pix of custom aluminum intake

89 vert....used a h22 prelude intake pipe...cut to size...rubber couplers...and clamps.....pretty easy and it was free.....frum my frend who had a whole buncha intake pipes layin around....looks good...intake is a lil louder...wutcha guys think?....

Could use a bigger picture but looks decent. If you search around for what you did you'll see tons of people have done it. And for it to better you should cut a hold and put the piping downwards and have the filter behind the bumper instead of sucking the hot air of the engine bay.

Well, if anyone's like me they aren't lookin to cut holes in the engine bay. You're right that it will suck hot air, but I'm just not down for cutting up the engine bay. It probably accomplishes little or nothing in this case, but hey, it's his car and if he wants his engine bay to look like a Civic, then so be it

Probably lower intake temps a little bit. But first he needs to isolate his filter from his engine bay to see any gains.

Except the fact that most of the piping on here is Ebay. You use what you can. Plenty of people use Prelude intakes. Just because it's originally designed for a Honda doesn't mean the parts aren't able to perform on a Mazda.

i never said that ......all i said is it looks cheap ....i love honda is much as my fc ....the H22 is a wonderful injin...prelude would have been alot nice if they werent so heavy and over priced but that never stopped me from buying a 01 type SH im just saying to much bling is a bad thing for me the bling bling lips on ADVAN rims to much ...im glad that yu can not really see my apexi n1 set up its just to much bling unless yu have daytons on ur ride and thats what yu like i would powdercoat it

That has been discussed before. That little hole will not flow enough, and go look behind your headlights, its not a straight shot with no obstructions to the filter. Also, what happens at night when you turn on your lights? uhoh your vent is useless now!
