Search my name, there is a thread on when I did mine...or just do a general search for "my fmic" in the title, I'm sure you will find plenty of unique setups.

There always seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding this, mine is right next to the throttle body. When I had my greddy type-s with the stock turbo, I didn't have a problem with compressor surge

I am a big believer on placing the BOV within 12-14 inches from the TB. This way the air the turbo is pushing just vents away and has alot less of resistance from air that is trapped AFTER the BOV and Before the TB.

ya you can basically put one (in theory) anywhere on the piping and you should be alright, but i think it would make more sense to put it relativley close to the turbo...just for safe keeping.....i actually welded a turboxs BOV on the hotside behind the near the bumper area

bamm stealth mount!

booyakasha!
it's hard to see but the intercooler is basically on the same slant as oil cooler and radiator. the intercooler is tucked waay back you can barely see it. i haven't run piping yet but it will be 2" stainless with 4 ply silicone couplers and t-bolt clamps all around. also got new HKS SSQ bov.

The local turbo rebuilder told me that a rotary moves about 3 times as much air as a piston motor. I showed him an intercooler that was a single core and the size of the picture above. He said that it would barely even be an upgrade from the factory and there would be a big preasure drop. He said that a intercooler of that size would be fine for a 2.0L 4 cyl but for a rotary you need something much larger. Any info to back this up or is he just trying to get me to buy an intercooler from him?

Do you have all ur emissions blocked off?
If you dont, then thats gonna make things interesting, and ur gonna prob. have to run more vac. lines.
Just eliminate all that ****, makes things simpler and cleaner.
Pics of what ur talkin about would be helpful too.

i fitted mine flat so my oil temps and water temps stay really low as they are not blocked

it works like a reverse v mount

i got rid of the stock power steering pump and used an electric one from a citroen. works a treat and makes loads of room for the pipe work.
