CA FMIC/ MAF Question.

Ivebeen searching for awhile now, but I cant seem to find a pic on the forum that explains to me what im trying to firugre out. I recently purchased a FMIC. With plans on installing it, I cant seem to figure out what to do with my intake. As it is, custom, it sits next to (not behind) my passnger headlight, with the MAF sensor fitted on there. Pretty much it is installed where it directly blocks the fmic piping to the turbo. I figure, Ill just take the intake off, and just slap the air filter on directly to the turbo, hence making room for the fmic piping. But heres where I'm stuck, what do I do with the MAF sensor? Let me know if it would be helpful if I snap some pics. Any input would be appreciated, Thanks.

If it helps, Im running a stage 3 BNR, so turbo is located at its stock location.

Regards,

Mark

I saw someone who put it on the other side near the throttle body. It was a pink FC if that helps. I had thought about doing the same thing, but the other side is pretty tight too.

I say go ahead and try to install your FMIC. If you run into problems, take pictures and post them here. We'll see what we can do to help you.

Its hard to give you advice when we're not sure what your exact problem is. A lot will depend on your FMIC kit and how the piping is routed. Post who makes your FMIC kit and maybe someone here can chime in.

PS. Im also thinking about getting a bnr. what is your setup like? any porting work?

I wish I could be of help to you as you were to be in regards of the BNR turbo. The truth of the matter is, I bought my car with it. The only thing was it wasn't installed, and I had to do it myself. Sorry bro, my mechanical skills and rx7 knowledge is VERY limited. This is also why I appreciate the help I get from you guys all that much more!
