Fmic....
Looks like a nice kit... but I don't think I'll be going with that... I don't have AC or power steering... and it looks like it mounts to that bracket... plus, it kind of zigzags around after it comes out of the core....
I'm still planning on the custom Spearco setup like Inital D.

Everyone is talking about using stainless tubing why not use PVC piping? it can with stand the heat and you can get it custon bent. Most electical contractors have a PVC bender. I have been discussing this with a friend of mine whos an electrician.
BTW what is the one that was used by Isuzu that everyone was talking about a while back?

Brian,
How well does it work? did you dyno it after the conversion? I have one of these, but I've heard they're not as good as they look.
Did you try mounting it in front of the radiator support at all, or just went the easiest route?

Heres another pic of the piping. I have a call in to the shop that I am getting mine through. The price is going to be a little more than the $1000 I mentioned before, hopefully not by much.
87turboII: I will be installing the Haltech myself along with the new motor trans and turbo I got. They tell me the intercooler shouldn't be too much longer but who knows.

I've about got the significant other talked into letting me do the turbo conversion on my 88 'vert. No, I don't mean bolting a turbo on the side of the NA motor and saying "ok, I'm done" either. I mean a full TII drivetrain swap. (Most of which I have already.)
I like Brian's intercooler METHOD, but I'd do it a bit differently. Follow this and see what you think guys:
1) Leave the turbo clocked up like normal. Use a 90 elbow (there is a stock Volvo part that has a connector for the BOV too) from the turbo to in IC inlet. Almost as short as the stock connection, less lag that way.
2) Since I am planning to do away with the power steering (I have a manual rack and a bracket to use A/C without P/S) I can simply run the outlet from the IC to the inlet for the TB at about a 30 degree angle. Silicone 30-bend, straight aluminum pipe, and a NA TB inlet section. (The black plastic one.) The NA TB inlet give almost a straight shot to the IC, but can only be done if the PS is removed or you are real creative with the pipes.
Of course the IC would be mounted where Brian's is. I think I want to use an ISUZU NPR intercooler though.
