Unhappy Flywheels...

Are the s4 and s5 flywheels different? Are they different from NA to turbo? I just tried to bolt my NA S4 tranny up to my TII S5 and the flywheel's interfering.
Please help!!!!

Yes, S4 and S5 are different, they use different counterweights, and the N/A and TII are different diameters.

If the motor is S5 turbo and you really want to use an NA trans for some reason then you have to use an NA S5 flywheel.

flywheels have to match series because of the counterweight. You would also have to use an NA clutch to match the splines on the transmission.

would be easier IMO to buy a Turbo trans and driveshaft, then either change the rear diff or do like me and measure, then redrill the end of the drivshaft so the 4 bolt holes line up to the diff, its hubcentric so it will stay centered.

Considered welding in different mounts, or modifying the ones you have?

Yeah but I have to cut the floor and change this and that... This way with the weight of my truck and my power goals, the NA trans is plenty. Not to mention it just bolts in with my stock drive shaft etc.

Why get a custom drive shaft made, custom tranny/ ending mounts, cut a hole in the floor for the shifter, and patch the old hole from the old shifter, when I could just make an engine mount and everything would fit?
