Flywheel compare/contrast

Is the 9lb flywheel really bad for street use? oppose to the 12lb or 17lb? Im thinking about getting a new flywheel, cuz im getting a new clutch and i might as well do the flywheel as well.. But Im not sure what weight to go with.. any advice would be awesome

Thats what ive heard... but why do you say 9/12 lb for track? And how much does the stock flywheel weigh exactly opposed to the lighter 17lb

I have a 17lbs RB, and on my S5 TII i noticed a good difference in 2nd and especially 3rd gears. My friend has a 12lb one in his FD, and i don't really think either one is that much harder to get going from stop. For drag yeah you want that momemtum for a good 60', but you can compensate for that by just launching a little higher.

You can't judge a flywheel simply by its weight.

12-19 lbs isn't that big a difference, but from stock you could feel it. It isn't ( to me at least) that big a deal.
