Flooding, then weird smoking. Searched.

Okay, '88 TII flooded. I sat in the car while a friend of mine did the unflooding thing by pulling the EGI fuse while i cranked it over. It started up. I drove less than a mile, noticed that the tach stopped working, and pulled back into the parking lot to check it out. I opened the hood, and a lot of smoke came out of the engine bay near the turbo area. The car was driving/running absolutely normal before shutting it off.

Now, as I said, i opened the hood, and a lot of smoke came out. Like, one big cloud, then stopped... 15 seconds later, another big cloud. Again, and again, and again, with the intervals in between said clouds getting longer. Upon this happening, I called my friend and asked which fuse he pulled, seeing as how that was the only thing that might have caused this problem. He had pulled the EGI INJ fuse, not the EGI Comp. It started regardless, but I guess I'm just really paranoid, having owned RX7s since i was 17. I realize it could be just the fuel still burning periodically, but I'm just trying to see if this has happened to anyone else, and what, for sure, it is. If you say "popped seal," you can just shoot me in the goddamn ********* and that'll be the end of it. Thanks.

Hm. Kinda need to find out about this soon. I'm too afraid to drive it without knowing for sure.

I should probably add that it's a bone stock TII that flooded because i just moved it from one side of my parking lot to the other.

Color was was white. Didn't have a sweet smell. I did smell gas, but that's just because we just did the unflooding trick.

Update: I think I know what it is. I think it's a small oil leak somewhere around the turbo. When the car is on and driving, it doesn't smoke, doesn't run differently, just runs fine. When the car is shut off, it throws out a big cloud of smoke every like, 20 seconds or so, coming from the turbo area. This, to me, is indicating a small oil leak dripping onto the hot turbo. Any agree/disagrees?
