Flooding problems in ocelots FC

alright well I got my friends turbo II (1989 S5) here like a month ago and got it running with stock injectors and a new upgraded turbo from BNR. well anyway the car after it got warm was having a lumpy idle and stuff but it ran pretty decent after I got it un flooded.

So I took off the UIM and throttle body so I could change the secondaries to 720cc injectors and put them in, wired in the new harness and put the resisters into the harnesss itself and then wired that back into the stock harness, then I pluged the injectors in and replaced everything. I got the car to start RIGHT up after I replaced everything and i was like, great im the man and ****. so then 2 hours later I go to start the car and its flooded and im like **** wtf why is it flooding.

so i got new plugs for it anyway, I take the old plugs out crank it 2 times with no EGI fuse and then put the new plugs back in. I start the car and it started right up but ran like *** because there was so much gas in the exhaust, It smoked for a good 10 min then finally stopped. Now the motor runs smooth, but as soon as i take my foot off the throttle it dies out. why the hell is it dying out after I take my foot off the throttle ? seems like everything ran freaking great the first time i started it up now its ****, is it becuase its not fully unflooded yet ? any advice would be cool

I know quite a bit of work has been done on the car, but is it to a point now that it runs fine except that the car dies when you lift your foot off the pedal? Have you taken the car out and really "cleaned it out", or does other work need to be done?

Yea i mean, i know me taking on this car was probably not the best idea in the world but I wanted to help brian out and get his car back on the road. SOOO much stuff could have been fucked up in the past few months that I had no control over. the car has not been cleaned by me and I didn't to anything more the hook up the BOV, splice in a vaccum line correctly, and install the 2nd injectors. so i know that my part would not have been able to **** up that bad and everything I did was with the workshop manual right next to me each step of the way.

the car dies as soon as i take my foot off the gas and the AFL on the AFC-R says its at 5.5%, whatever that is supposed to mean. I took the HI throttle control down to -23 for each 1k RPM and left the LOW throttle at 0 on the AFC-R. still seems like its getting to much fuel and flooding out every time i take my foot off the gas

EDIT: It does run fine until I take my foot off the gas. It runs especially well above 3k rpm also, which I know is when the secondaries have a bigger role in Fuel managment

That would be S-AFC btw, not AFC-R, I think you are thinking of AVC-R or something, heh

its not standalone, its a air fuel controller that you just hook up to your stock ECU

I didn't think the secondaries came on til around 4000.

I dunno what all the readings and stuff on the S-AFC mean, but it sounds like a vacuum leak to me.... But, what do I know .

its either a vacuum leak (broken omp lines?) or a loose connect regarding the afm. sometimes if the afm isnt hooked up right, itll produce those symptoms. try setting the idle to richer/higher flow (loosen throttle stop screw) and see if itll hold idle. odds are its vacuum tho. and a big one too. did you get the huge nipple on the back of the intake duct? i missed that one once. carefully inspect the whole thing. i can almost guarantee you its something stupid that didnt get plugged in. eitehr that or you didnt seal the UIM on right. i had to re-do the UIM 3 times the first time i took one off before i got it right.
