flooding problem?!?!?! :(

Alrighty, well i just bought this car from a guy who said it rain "perfect." but we all know how that goes. anyways the car floods and ive read the sticky and removed the egi fuse. when i take it out it starts to make a noise that sounds like a fan or something. i figured it was doing something with the fuel so i let it do that for a while and then i plugged that fuse back in. it still wont start. it sounds like it wants to at first but then it just wont. im going to get new spark plugs like the sticky said and see if that works. So what makes these engines flood anyways? are injectors leaking???

Thanks

Did you crank it with the EGI fuse out? You need to do that.

Good deal.... flooding sucks. Might want to throw some 2cycle oil in the housings through the plug holes (don't use ATF quite yet.)... 2cycle oil will increase your compression and should aid the un-flooding process.

i had the same problem, what i did was ran a switch to the hot wire on the starter and battery. when it floods, i just turn the key off and hit the swich, turning it over for a little bit without injecting any fuel. then get in, crank the key, works awesome for me
