Question Flooding!? Compression good...

I've recently been dealing with the good ole flooding problem. Here's what I have done so far:

I did a compression test and got 100 on the front and 105 on the rear (S4).
I pulled the spark plugs and found them to be quite dirty. Lot of carbon buildup and one of the lower plugs point was more needle like than the others.

Anyway, I cleaned them off today and installed them back in. I have yet to see if this will cure my occasional flooding problem.

Anybody have any other input as to why I am having flooding issues if this fix won't cure it?

Thay are a little over 1 1/2 year old plugs. Beside one of them having needle like point in the middle, they cleaned up nicely. I am gonna wait and see if it cured the problem before getting new plugs, unless anyone knows if that needlelike point is not a good thing.

Yeah this site has it all. I've learned alot too.
I did look up flooding and am considering faulty injectors. Then again, a local rx-7 shop here told me that leaky injectors are highly unlikely???
Run some Chevron Techron through em???

one more thing. unlike S5's we dont have an auto fuel cut through the gas pedal. you should crank the car with the gas all the way down to let more air in the motor. keven landers told me this when i bought my new motor from him.

I am pretty sure the needle like point is from the spark wearing down the center electrode. Depending on the mileage and if the injectors have ever been prof. cleaned, I would say that they are always a possible cause..unles you are positive they dont leak.

Flooding is an area i have not dealt with for a whiiile since my 7 has been down for 8 months, but what are the details on when it floods? cause you mentioned occasionally

Makes sense about the electrode wearing down. I'll keep that in mind if I get new plugs.

My injectors have never been pro. cleaned. And I'm not pos. at all if they don't leak.
It's occasional flooding. Maybe temperature plays a role, not sure. Smell of gas is heavy when cranking, but when I do get her to start, there is a puff of white smoke out of the pipes just for a few seconds. Then she's perfect again.
Who knows, maybe it was becasue of my dirty plugs.

See how she does this week. I have some Techron I'll add too. I'll post on my results later this week.

Thanks fellas.
