Angry Flooding!

This may be a question that has been asked a million times over but here it is. Why does my 86 GXL keep flooding out after the car has been turned off and parked for few hours. This doesnt happen all of the time just about once a month. The only way I know how to unflood it quickly is to pull the EGI fuse, crank the engine for 10 seconds, put the EGI back and start the car. Granted, this has worked like a charm every time, I get tired of doing it. Sometimes its pretty embarassing when it happens in a crowded parking lot. I know that this can happen if you turn the car on and turn it back off within a short period of time, but it happened today after I let it warm up for 15 minutes and drove it for 20 minutes to work!! I just replaced my starter and pulsation damper within the same week. If anyone knows how to fix this let me know please! I heard that it is a glitch that Mazda never worked out of the car.

Its common with 2nd gen RX-7s. You could sent the injectors to a shop and have them rebuilt. Or make a fuel cut off switch. Theres a good chance that the compression in your engine is on the low side also. Another trick to unflood is to pull the fuel pump relay located under drivers dash.
