Flooded RX-7

I have a flooded 91 RX-7 and a couple of guys from the club actually came to the previous owner of the car and got it running, but they told him the engine was going bad and by the time i had baught the car it was back to its flooded state, would it just be better for me to get a new engine with new APEX seals and new gaskets? which would be around 2000 avg or is there a way i can fix it so it dosent flood. when we take the spark plugs out we can see and smell the oil mixed with gas on the end of the plugs. and now we are going tro check to see if the APEX seals are bad, which we think they are. the rest of the car is in a good condition i just have this one problem.

Compression test. It could be flooding due to leaky injectors, but it sounds like the motor is almost dead.

Yep, do a compression test, that way you will know for sure what kind of shape the motors in.

I recommend Bruce Turrentine for the rebuild.
