flooded AGAIN!! WTF!!!!!!!!!
I have seen several hot start/ flooding problems due to an internal leak at the fuel pressure regulator. When the diaphragm ruptures, fuel runs into the vacuum line connected to it and dumps fuel into the intake. It's easy to check.....just remove the vac line at the FPR and if it's wet or dripping, replace it. I have seen a few actually spray a cupful or more when the hose is removed.
Mainly cause fuel / oil is more viscous (i.e. thicker) when cold.
Also, as someone else mentioned, a hot engine will vaporize fuel / oil.
All the fuel / oil being injected into the engine helps seal the combustion chambers.
This is why compression is higher when cold.
On engines with borderline compression, they will almost guarantee will start up cold but flood on a hot start.

just get the fuel shutoff kit, i think racing beat makes on if not mazdatrix less than $100, cheaper than injectors and will take a little pressure off them when the cars not running, since the fuel pressure is so high even after the car is off, i'm thinking that after so long most all injectors start leaking due to the pressure, shutoff would solve that and give your new injectors a longer life if u decide to get new ones.
