Flame Setup - Will it Work.......

OK, here's what I want to try. I have some spare injectors and a coil/ignitor from an old 3 wheeler of mine. I was thinking if I could weld the injector into the exhaust pipe, then weld the plug into the pipe further down, wouldn't this create some AWESOME flames???

But, how hot would the injector get? And if there is no air in the fuel feed line, then it "shouldn't" ignite inside the fuel line, right?

That would be my only concern.... What do you think?

As for connecting the injector, Giving the injector 12 volts opens it so fuel can flow, so I would just feed it a 12 volt charge and regulate it with a switch.....

Why don't you just get "natural flames" from an open exhaust system?

just a spark plug and a coil should do the job. the extra fuel would just be wasted and probably very dangerous.

What type of setups do you all have which allows you to shoot Natural and Unnatural Flames. Any info would be appreciated.

Straight pipe will do the trick. I have RB header, pre-silencer and an exhaust. I shoot nice flames out of both pipes. Not having a cat helps alot.

Disclaimer: Leave your cats in the car. Its illegal to run without them, unless you dont have the emission patrol after you. If you take your cats off and get busted, dont sue me or else I'll call Larry J. Parker!

In my 1st gen it was easy, get going down the road but the car on netural turn the key off, pump the gas, turn the key on, and then pop the clutch. good flame about ten feet of so. use to get pulled over by the cops all the time. I only did it when they were to close LOL.

Go to www.AUTOLOC.com they have a set up to do this and you wouldn't have to worry about blowing yourself up. good luck..

Lol. thats the same principle with afterburners on jets. RX7 with afterburners wouldn't that be a sight. have a little sticker on the bumper "Danger. Open Flame". but seriously I dont know about running a fuel line that close to a heat source. it will probably melt the injectors causing fuel to leak all over hot exhaust resulting in a KF7.
