First time at Track

Hey everybody, I ran for my first time today

Ive got an 88 GTU, no mods whatsoever.

I ran a 16.408 @ 86 mph, with a 2.4 60 foot time.

Best reaction time was .51

How did I do? First time

Any tips for launching, etc?
Thanks,
Jameson

hehe, dont worry i read it. Thats a really good time for a stock car! good job! most na fc's that I have seen run a high 16 or a low 17. so you running a 16.4 is defitnaly above avergae! I think that it is possible to get slightly faster if you can improve on your launch. a 2.4 60' is still a little high. If you can get it down to a 2.2 you *might* see 15s. I have found that launching our cars is quite difficult. I dont really have much advise excetp to practice. everyones car is a little differnt depending on mods (in your case, being stock) so it kinda depends on how much low end power you have. I guess the goal is to launch at an rpm that when you take off you dont bog, spin too much, or get massive wheel hop. I have found it kinda difficult not to do one of them! but im still practicin

Yeah, the 2.4 60' time kinda killed me, just gotta practice launching. I let a friend run my car, and he got a 2.2 60', would have cracked 15's if he didnt miss 3rd gear.

I was pretty happy for being stock tho

Next to my friend hitting 1.5 and 1.6 60' times, it's not too impressive tho. He ran a 12.01 @116mph with his 89 TII. He's got a 60-1 Hybrid turbo, and he's makin 360 rwhp, that's pretty crazy.
