Talking First time i've ever.... hehe!

Wow! Coming out of my friends street today, i was driving hard (fun ) and instead of my normal 7000-7500 shifting, i tried the peak torque thing RETed was talking about...

Whoa!

I ****** CHIRPED and spun for about 1/2 a second in the shift from 1st to 2nd at around 6300-6500 RPMs, it landed me in 4th around 4500 RPMs. I was like DAMN!

The only other car i've ridden in that did that was my friends 240SX with a Turbo kit running 10psi I was thinking "man my car would never have enough power to do that *dream* "

Felt sooo nice for the rear to chirp and almost fishtail out like that!

I'm sure the TII guys can do this any time. But I am just stunned at how my N/A did it! hehehehe..

Oh well.. sorry if this bored/annoyed anyone.. not much of an acomplishment i guess.

I dunno, maybe this shifting at 6xxxx RPMs is better than waiting til max HP way up at 7.

Finally! A believer! Just remember, peak torque always equals peak acceleration.

Considering a N/A has like -7 billion ft/lb of torque, shifting in the right place is the key to winning races!!

Hell yeah!

We gotta get an archive thread or something with the best shift points for a stock (or modded stockport) 86-88 and 89-91 N/A's and Turbo's as well.

Then all of us forum guys/girls will know how to kick *** in the races. (like gear ratios so the shift point is DIFFERENT for every gear etc...)
