First nice day (new pic)
Finally, the weather was beautiful on long island today and since it's a holiday I was out of the office and had the opportunity to clean my FC for the first time in 4 months. Unfortunately, the batteries in my digi-cam died on me so I've only got one pic to show for it (yea, never lend your camera to your friends, they don't charge the batteries!). Perhaps I can snap a couple more later...she shined up fairly well - now I have to clean the daily driver Galant VR4 since it's really gross. I'm still saving for the TII swap, it's so depressing to see my new motor and all my parts in a pile at the shop

Great pic, man. I think I'll be doing the same with my SE tommarrow or wednesday, as we're supposed to have pretty nice days this week.
I cannot wait untill Thursday, 49 degrees and I'm gonna completely pull the motor out of my GXL finally so it will be ready as soon as I have my clutch and drive shaft here to go in! I'm doing the T-II swap as well. It has to be done before the revolution

I know some guys are driving from california and Texas, man! NY ain't that far....well, thenagain, I do know it can be about 8-14 hours from ohio to NY.....ah, well. Hopefullly you change your mind and find a way to justify the trip. It would be well worth it. Check out your local scene for a caravan. I know there are other newyorkers comin' to the revolution. One more would only be cooler!

Someone does make copies of the lip, check out www.corksport.com - they sell it for $199.00. Look at the front bumper carefully, it's an S5 nose so this lip won't fit an AE (but an AE with an S5 nose and this lip would be really nice). The sideskirts are kamanari's and I got them from an old friend who has been selling body kits since the early '90s. Supposedly they had been sitting on his shelf for nearly 10 years so he sold them to me for like $100 for the pair...what I didn't know is that they are no longer available since kamanari's mold for it burned down in a large fire, otherwise I would have gladly made copies. Once the motor is in and properly broken in we're gonna paint it at the shop since the car has a few dings/scratches (and hey, the nose has to come off for my GReddy FMIC anyway )...one of our mechanics is also a paint and body guy who does great work - here are two of our project Z's he's done .
This blue/silver 280ZX is a 600hp single turbo monster w/ an electromotive TEC2.
This yellow 280Z has a stock ZXturbo motor and some pretty standard mods but with it's simple FMIC and 6 480CC's it should put out about 300hp.

Rotors still spinning

I had an '88 in the exact same color once. I love that color. It was only availble for '88 so it is quite rare. Mine had the S5 body upgrade w/factory S5 lip spoiler and 3rd gen rims. Sadly that car is no longer in existence. I really miss it seeing that picture.

mmmmmmmm, an S5 claret mica with FD rims!! sounds really cool...I'm debating keeping the car the same exact color or switching to the Porsche OEM burgandy from the '96 911 turbo. The color recipe is very similar though the porsche has more metallic in it (hehe I asked a the guy who mixed my paint for the nose/lip/sideskirts the other year) . If I go with the Porsche color it's close enough where I probably won't have to touch the door jams or engine compartment though I'd have to do a bit more research on that.
