First nice day (new pic)
I saw one other - I didn't know it was rare when I got it but I liked the color...when I first started looking at FC's years ago I saw a couple of white ones and a couple of red (well orange hehe) ones.

you are brave jon, all that melting snow just keeps splattering all over my car.. so i cant bring myself to wash it. but i have been driving alot more than in january. whens bald hill starting back up.. its already..40 out
well, my office is only a 6 mile drive from the house so taking the rex once during the week and driving her on the nice weekends will keep her fairly clean. before I had the GVR4 (i've been driving it since Sept.) i only drove the FC and even then I only put 7K on it each year. It should be considerably less now - I love the car and I'll never get rid of it, but even with poly bushings and a full suspension upgrade on the VR4 it feels like a limo compared to the ROCK solid FC.
you daily drive... a glant vr4... so pimp =]
slick car, i live up in CT so i understand the rare nice days up here =D
i actually took out my AE on the same day to keep the tires fresh. No wash tho, its actaully pretty clean even over these months.

Electrikhead: ummmmmmm, uhhhhhhhhhh the bracket for the front plate is on order...the body shop broke it when the nose was painted
yea, thats it - that's the ticket!! As for the Galant, yep - I've got a VR4, #92/1000. The shop bought it as a project a couple years back and blew the motor after 50K on the crate motor from mitsubishi...upon disassembly it turns out they gave us a non-turbo block with a turbo head which means higher compression and no oil coolers. A ring blew from simply too much boost but it lasted quite a while considering the mods. I then bought the car from my brother (owner of Z-1 performance, www.z1auto.com hehe plug) for a reasonable price and spent a few months replacing and rebuilding. I got a used block from a friend for next to nothing and had it freshened up with new rings, new bearings, cleaned and honed. We re-used the old head with 50K and bam, instant GVR4. Turns out the big 16G that was in the car needed replacement as well so I got an 18G turbo and we fab'd some simple IC piping at the shop for the conservative FMIC from one of theold EVO's in Japan. I've been driving it for a number of months and replacing a bunch of stuff (alternator, starter, tires etc...) that has really eaten into saving for the TII swap that J&R rotary will be doing (www.smokinjoeracing.net). But, it's worth it since I can have 2 cars...having something AWD for the nasty winter days is worth it alone!! The Galant is no slouch but I'm not running aggressive settings until I can get down to an AWD dyno (Pruven performance in CT has one). Currently I run 660cc's, a walbro, an SAFC and an HKS VPC with 16psi on the EVC4. Hp estimates @ 270 at the wheels and a very high 12 in the quarter since I can walk away cleanly from a new EVO and suck up the shops 350Z. (it used to run 12.40 on the old 16G turbo with a leaner mixture/aggressive timing). It's a great car...sedate, comfy (even with full suspension) and super quick. This setup is good for 21psi on 93 octane once the fuel settings are worked out on the dyno.

*sigh* more snow tonight...they are saying an inch or less but, oh well - she sits for a few more days. the corbeau's aren't too comfy for the morning commute anyways (snug with a thick wool coat on). theres worse ways to drive to the office than in the confines of properly sorted sleeper hehe Though, I think the 323 GTX is less known than the GVR4.
i heard 1-6 inches... it will be a slow drive to work tomorrow
scc had a gtx, they added a manual boost controller and a probe intercooler and gained like 90hp at the wheels. those cars are megasikk

There were so many cool SCC projects...I loved the 323 GTX articles, the FB RX-7 pieces they did and does anyone remember that crazy MR2 turbo from the mid 90's that ran 500hp @ the wheels on a stock "never taken out" motor before letting go on the dyno? Project Silvia is a good read but I can do without the blotchy rattle can paint, even if it is a function over form project. I believe SCC could ditch big $ volk wheels and shell out a couple hundred for a Maaco job (or even do it themselves).
6 inches? hehe good thing I have the pimp stock 15's on the car w/ snow tires. When tires say "summer only" they mean it, the Pzero's on my 17's for the Galant aren't snow friendly.
