First mod with 800 dallors?
I bought a complete hks turbo kit from japan for $850 shipped.
hks manifold w/ xternal wastegate support,
a t3/t4 turbo
and a hks wastegate
I bought an hks front mount IC kit for $750 shipped from japan... it came with all the piping and a hks blow off.
I also got an evc II boost controller from Jap Andy for $135 shipped... take your pick.

use about $250 and get a nice *** dynomax exhaust from APC, available at your local advance auto parts, makes your rx7 sound meannnn and gives you a few extra hp

STOP IT!! You're hurting my brain!!! Why would AAP carry APC who carries Dynomax? You're not making any sense!!! And that dynomax exhaust is one of the poorest flowing exhausts made for FC's. Dual exhaust that only flows 700cfm?
go full exhaust and fcd, cheap hp with very noticeable hp gains, also recommend getting a boost gauge, boost can get over 10 psi(not good). just as long as everything else is ok.
if motor has low compression, save up and get a reman motor.

I own an 88 T2 with 178K. I'd follow these guys advice and get the car in good overall running condition before modifications. After you get it in good condition overall, and have money left over, I'd look into a turbo back exhaust from RB for first mod.
