A fire extinguisher is a very good thing to have if there is a chance of the car catching fire. Way back when my dad still had his Austin-Healy, it caught fire when we were out driving. We noticed smoke coming through the dash, and then we stopped and there were flames coming out of the hood. The wiring harness caught on fire (damn the british and their cheap electronics) Luckily we were right by a grocery store so we ran in and got a fire extinguisher. If we werent close to somewhere with an extinguisher, it could have been really bad.
