It seems the cars you want always pop up when your not looking for them. But ya, don't just make it so it HAS to be a S5. You can find an S4 with a blown engine and put a S5 jspec in it right away. It will be a little faster than a 89+ anyways.

I just posted three ads for TII's in the Cdn section in vancouver, one of which is asking 3800 Cdn for an 87 TII.
Also, cheers, if you are interested, I could talk down the guy selling the 1990 TII on Van island if you wanted. Like I said, I know everything about that car and what it is worth.

I, too, am looking for a broken or blown TII since I can't afford one in working condition. The quest continues......

Gamefan008,

Check autotrader.com and expand your search to all rx7s. Ask the "basic description" guys who don't specify the model of rx-7 what they have. You'll eventually find someone who has a TII.

Also check www.thepartstrader.com 's rotary forsale section and the forsale section on this forum as well.

What are you asking for it? I'dlike an NA to have some fun with while I mod the TII at the end of the summer.

scathcart,

i was looking into buying one for 7000 cdn dollars in ontario, original paint, only 2 owners 158000 km on body and 15 000 on new engine from Mazdees. Tranny grinds in 5th and the rest is in perfect condition. Red btw, in need of new brakes and a loving owner...

I was waiting till after exams to go look at the car and buy it, its actually from a forum member, but another person on teh forum Gecko7 bought it... lucky him.

So i would not offer anything more then 7000 for a car with sags and runs in the paint, with misc problems here and there, and the bad part its in BC, and the car has rust all over it... (hence your description of needed to weld in new floor boards) the red 1990 TII i was looking at had very very minmal rust.

So my offer would be say 6800 tops... no more... i want a T2, but not bad enough to spend 9k on it.

scathcart,

6000 give or take a couple of hundred, and the seller can keep the aftermarket rims and tires of the car. I prefer the factory 16" mesh.
whats the compressor in the turbo? T04 hybrid? and the car get put on a hoist and throughly inspected for other areas of rust. Rust = cancer to a car.

Also the fact the Car idles extremely high isn't a good sign and neither does the fact it will not pass aircare (are there cats on teh car? still stock? and i want brakes that work and don't leak.

but all these greviences can be worked into the price
=)_

if i buy a TII it must be series 5, and it is either all working to begin with, or everything is FUBAR except for the body and chassis and i rebuild ground up.

PM me with more info, anything good or bad you can list. Interior quality is very important.
The sticker on the back would be the first to go...
