Finding rims with 4 lug pattern?

I'm getting an 88 RX-7, and it has the 14" 4 lug wheels. I was told it's hard to find rims in the 4 lug pattern, true? I just want something a little bigger on there.

Look at Ford Escort Gt wheels, also Mazda Miata wheels.
The aftermarket has lots of wheels that will fit in 14", 15" and 16" sizes, all widths.

Might I suggest a 5 lug conversion? You get 4 piston brakes up front & vented discs all around. I did this to my car, along with an LSD, and it's like a completely different car, no more brake fade and it handles much better. I can hook you up with a guy that sells the conversion for $200 + shipping. He also has GXL wheels available, if you want, but 5 lug wheels are a lot easier to find than 4 lug.

Just a thought

The person who told you that stuff is prob a crackhead. Your car has the 4x114.3 bolt pattern. That bolt pattern is pretty common. Almost any 4 lug wheel will fit. I know because my SE had 4 lug wheels. If you have the money, time, patience, do the 5 lug conversion. You get bigger brakes and i think theres a bigger wheel selection out there for 5 lug cars.

finding wheels for the 4 lug is extremely easy...the bolt pattern is the most common 4 lug pattern so you're really just after the right offset which is generally 38-42 I believe. I have 42 mm offset 17X7 ADR Stage II's with 1/8 spacers front and 1/4 inch spacers. the fronts were necessary to clear the center caps, the rears just make the car look beefier. With ground control coilovers and Tein pillowball mounts for camber the car looks VERY aggressive with 215/45 fronts and 235/45 rears with 17inch rims. When the car is done over the summer (turbo conversion and body kit and seats) I'll post the car on the website I'm designing for the shop I'm affiliated with.

does anyone have the stock offset of the wheel?

Not all 4 bolt wheels will fit, I know the civic/integra bolt pattern is 4X100, and obviously that wouldnt fit.

What cars have the 4X114.3? That sounds kinda oddball to me.

The older Z cars had that pattern, so did some Mustangs, Toyotas, etc.

Most midsize 4 lug cars should be 4x114.3... The small cars like Civics are 4x100, and first gen RX-7s except for the GSL-SE have the dumbass 4x110 pattern.
