finally got the car running!

Well, my cars been down for a few days so i took the time to take out all the stupid wiring like the sport susension crap that was there and just got rid of it...so i got me a new credit card in the mail and i decided i was going to buy something with it....so i went to O'Reillys and got me an optima red top battery, came home put her in and vroom vroom baby! Now i have to fix my exhaust....way to loud! I do have a question though.....When i'm starting my car it hardly starts....it turns and turns and turns but it never starts idling.....i have to play with the gas alot in order to get it started, is there a way i could get rid of this? I called my fellow rx7 friend and he told me to put a fuel pump switch on it, does this sound like a good idea, do you think this will work? Just let me know....thanx guys!

1.no, you should get you injectors cleaned.
ther car is probably fludding with gas and unless you dont get them injectors cleaned the problem will continue..
2.your engine may have a bad corner seal,if it is so (rebuilt)

when it comes to carbs you may have to adjust the floats on the side pockets, but i dont know much about carbs. my best sudjestion would be to talk to an old school muscle car owner, they usualy are masters at carbs

with carbs ,,the needle and seat usually get gummed and stay open and trickle gas into the intake..that makes hard starting,flooding.etc..worst case in my carb experience(sorry to say with flooding on a piston engine with a four barrel)..i had to rebuild it..it's not hard..and relatively cheap..if not useful my post will bump up your thread!

Lol, yea thanx for the bump! Well, it does/did trickle gas into the carb and me and my uncle tried fixing the float in it and it stopped leaking, so it's not that anymore....but it does get flooded alot though, when it doesn't crank i can pull the plugs out and gas will be on the ends of em'....does anyone know what i can do to stop this? If i were to run a switch to the fuel pump, will it start without the fuel pump being on....then once it actually fires up i can turn the fuel pump on and keep it running.....will that work?
