Arrow Fiberglass Hood?

Hey guys,

Before I begin-- Yes, Ive searched through this site extensively as well as google and other places for my answer. I literally cant find what im looking for anywhere, for any price. Ive followed a lot of leads, but it ends up that the only way to get it is from Japan for thousands of dollars and months of shipping (plus I dont know Japanese so thats a dead end to begin with). I need it pretty much ASAP.

Does anyone know where I could get a fiberglass (no, not carbon fiber) hood for the FC? I dont care if it has vents or not. I do not need/want a TII hood. NA style; completely flat and simple, is what I prefer. Im pretty desperate so price isnt much of an issue.

The reason? Basically Im making a somewhat custom hood and need a fiberglass platform to mold a vent into.

Hell, if you're really good with fiberglass and can make a strong, clean and quality one for me that would be kickass as well.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

R-Magic maybe?

I can get you the hood for around $1000 plus or minus a bit depending on how the math works out. There is still the issue of it taking a month to get here on the slow boat from Japan, and it's vented....

But at least it's a sure thing right?

We make them, its not a bolt on item though. We have a mold that we make hoods for the race cars for it has the headlight doors molded in with it but its marked to be able to cut that area out easily. If you are going to play with adding a scoop you could also modify it to bolt on and latch down. We attach them with 4 hood pins so they can be taken all the way off to work on the engine easier. They weigh about 11 lbs.

I actually did see that hood, and its not what I need/want. The vent im getting is about 3x3ft, and wouldn't work with that hood. Sorry.

I think I might just go with the Andy's Autosport one. Thanks Jager. The picture they have for it is totally wrong though. Wish they had a better one.

Thanks but no thanks. That hoods not quite what im looking for. What I was trying to get at was I need a hood thats as simple as possible so that i can just cut the whole center out and put in my own vent. $1000 and a couple months isnt neccesary if i'll just be cutting out the vent they already have in there.

However, if you can find me a D-MAX hood for FC at the same price i'd take it in a second.

Thanks to everyone who's replied! If anyone knows of one for less than $600, let me know.

EDIT: Holy crap, look what I just found off Andy's site: http://www.andysautosport.com/produc...93&_v=vmd00281 Its an 'OEM Replacement' Carbon Fiber hood for $450. I think ill give em a call and see if thats too good to be true.

I think if you flip the scoop around on that hood so that it pulls hot air out it would be a better design.
