Few Turbo Questions for the Elite ... I guess

First off I have a Trust intercooler with injectors inside the piping called chargers I guess. If I leave them unhooked will I get a vacume leak ?

Another question is the N/A S5 coils the same as S4 Turbo ? Are they interchangable because they look the same.

How much shaft play in a turbo before its non functionable as in sorry gota take the ted bus ?
My shaft actually wobles up and down and has some in and out as well.

The boost sensor has a connector on it. One goes to the lower manifold and the other side of the T is just open. So I plugged it. Is this ok ?

I have few hundred more questions coming just got to think of them. Ill be back. Thanks

Chargers?

A hole in the pipe will obviously cause a leak. No hole, no leak.

Until an oil seal fails or something inside phsically falls apart, a stuffed turbo won't make the car unusable, just down on power. Yours sounds stuffed...

Yes.

no, it wont leak. the t on the boost sensor was almost certainly to a boost guage. plug it or get a guage. without a BOV, or on the stock BOV (not really a bov, but same idea). on the stock one..as long as you want. without one at all..not very long.

wow you guys are good lol.

OK about the chargers. The injectors are still in there. I didnt mean pull them out. Seems like the pintle is the only thing keeping air in...

Why does my strut bar hit the alternator not allowing it to bolt on ? Im assuming it was on before. Should I untighten my alternator and get a dual belt pulley ?

Take a pics of these injectors on your IC. Are they fuel injectors?Nitrous or C02 solenoids to cool the charge?

Your strut bar is proably a cheap Ebay one like mine.
They are almost universal fit ones so it does touch the top of the alternator.
You need a tighter belt(it's getting stretched and old) or you need to remove the strut bar.

I ground a small part off the bottom of the bar for Alt clearance on mine.

If it wobbles a lot you might as well just get it rebuilt. You can run the risk of damaging the turbines on the intake or exhaust side. Do a search under my name for need hotside and you'll see what may be why your turbo is loose(bad/cracked hotside).

www.turbosdirect.com is 10 minutes down the road from me. They did the rebuild for about $200. The thing looks insanely clean and brand new now. Turn around was about 3 days as well.

its off the trust kit. So its just 2 additional 550cc injectors for im guessing boost.

I will just buy another turbo off someone local

Yes this one is an ebay bar I just found out. But seems like I need a 1 inch clearance to fit. Cant grind that much . Hm mabey if I can find smaller belts off another car ???

take that bar, hold it in both hands, hold it out in front of you. slam it into a corner of a wall, or a tree, or something solid with maybe 20 lbs or so of force. you want about a 5 degree bend right in the center. once you do that, it will fit right on if your belt is in good shape.

lol awesome method

If you bend it up you run the chances of it touching your hood.

I know mine rested nicely under the fire blanket since I coud see the outline.

yep..bent it too much and it will hit the hood. i ground a bit off my alt, and bent the bar so it just fit. im working on a serpentine belt setup, so then i wont have to worry about it anymore.

You're not thinking this out very well. All you need is a slightly shorter belt. There's no need to remove a perfectly good strut brace just for the sake of a belt.

no. airpump belt is longer. take the alt. belt to an auto parts store, and get one 1-2 inches shorter. i think the stock is a 33.5, and you want a 31.5 or 32. whatever fits on pretty tight. remember that the new belt will stretch a little, so go half an inch shorter than you think you need.
