Few Quick Little Questions..

I read the FAQ, but I wanna hear it from you guys...

Its an 1987.

- What type of oil should be used ? What brand?

- What brand of oil filter works best? Fuel filter?

- What type/brand of tranny, clutch, brake, differential is best?

- Can I find relays at any auto parts store? I was told I needed to go to a different place.

- If I have no ohmmeter, is there any other way to test current?

- Some of the ***** on the console are off. When I put them back in, they come right out. Any way to fix this?

- Cold Air Intake/Ram Air Intake/K&N Throw In Filter (Or Cone?)?

- I plan to rewire the car, best place to get all new harnesses?

Anything else you guys can think of when you first get one would be helpful. I appreciate it. (Sorry if some of this is in the FAQ, but I couldn't find it. Might be lack of sleep and long work day ^_^ Thanks!)

Anyone?

I also need a new clip for the gas tank hatch. It doesn't lock in.

I think the FAQ has this listed, but many say natural oil and specifically Castrol GTX is best, I'm using 10w30 myself - I think that's on the thin side though.

Wix is good, FRAM is bad - NAPA uses wix.

Most parts stores I've been to have them, you're talking about generic auto relays, right?

You mean ammeter? You can measure the voltage drop across a known resistor, but I'd say just get an ammeter.

Many have cold air boxes with cone filters. The throw-in filters are generally believed to not give any gains.

General tune-up, including spark plugs, etc. (you're already doing oil). Also tap the diagnostics plug (see the CSM). If your idle has issues, there's good info there as well.

Thanks Bud.. Appreciate it..

On the relays, its for the headlights. I went to Discount Auto Parts, they don't carry them. I guess I can try a few other places.

There are a few other things, but right now I am kinda guttin the insides out of the car.

Ok.. Well the guy I got the car from said the front has been converted to brake pads. What brand or type of brake pads, calipers, and rotors would be best for the brakes? Nothing REAL sporty, but good..?

Got a few more Qs..

- My hatch doesn't latch on the driver's side. It works if I push it down with a screw driver or something, but the hatch won't go down far enough to latch it.

- Does anyone got a picture of what the passenger side under the glovebox where the speaker goes looks like? I have no panel there and don't even see any wires for a speaker.
