Female O2 Sensor Broke!

Female O2 Sensor Broke!

Allright the thin sh!tty wiring broke immedialty after the female connector on the 02 sensor. I mean directly out of it. How can I fix this. For now I spliced the shielded wiring of the male to the female so I could drive my car. How will this affect my a/f ratio? Is this bad?

The O2 sensor is only used in closed loop mode. This is when you cruise at a constant speed and rpm, and the ecu uses the signal it is getting from the O2 sensor to generate the best gas mileage. Just leave the wire spliced together (you did wrap it in electrical tape, right?) and you will be fine.

Yeah I used electrical tape, of course man! BTW ever since I changed my TID and my spark plugs(hadn't been changed in a while) I have gotten outsanding MPG, I used to fill every 4 days and now I have made it 4 and used a half tank, I guess the TID made the difference?
