I need a wheel in at least a size 16 5x114.3 and they need to be LIGHT like 12-15 lbs. I really don't care what they look like at this point, but i like 5 spokes, machined lips and the kosei k1 look... but they don't fit.

I'm sorta on a budget so.... around 1k for the wheels/tires.

If you can handle a 16lb wheel, consier the stock five star 16x7.5 90's era 300zx wheels. I just bought a set for $100 off ebay, just for autocrossing.

I found some rota slipstreams, 16x7 5x114.3 +40mm offset for 500 for a set, + 422 for tires.

13 lbs. Miata guys have been using them for awhile apparently.

Perfect wheel for a budget.

rota slipsteams are just spoon copies, the honda/acura guys have been using them forever as well.

I do like the rota subzeros, they do have a 17 x 7.5'' size, but I think offset is something around 45

Yea, and Rota Subzero's are just Racing Hart CP035 knockoffs, how is that different?

I have seen a couple threads on different boards with rota wheels shattering though.

Actualy they are copies of a russian rim that Regamaster and Spoon buy and put their name on. Spoon is the only place to get the rim flat black thou and a lot of people just call them that.

The rims are forged using machines that used to press out tank armor for the soviet army before the wall fell. From what I understand they are one of the strongest, lighest rims you can get.

While the Rota's are cast and not forged and a set of 4 costs what 1 Regamaster Evo will run you, they are still a good rim. Rota is a solid company and they back thier product.

Case in point... This WRX guy bought some USED Rota rims that were used off road for a while. He then put some Compound R tires on there and autocrossed for a while. One of the Rota rims broke and the wheel flew off his car in the middle of a turn.

Even thou the rims had been used off road and were bought used Rota stepped up, gave him a brand new set of rims and fixed the damage to his car.

I'd be all over some rotas if they made them in wider sizes. Hell even 8" would be good enough for street tires for me.
