fd uim on modified lim?

I have a spare s4 t2 lim and a spare fd lim, and I was almost curious on cutting and welding the fd flange on the s4 t2 lim, and port matching. Anyone tried that? I've purchased an adapter years ago, but was not happy so I sold it.

I'm also curious if anyone ever did a dyno for a before and after on this mod.

Modern technology has changed parts we can get to do this.
Rising RPM - Home has a bolt on s4 to FD upper conversion. No port matching.

I saw those, they are nice!

I know it would be a pain in the ***, but I have some equipment I can use, a mill, tig welder, and various cutting equipment.

I was thinking about diferent ways to do it and could not think of anything better than an adapter plate. :/ I think I will just stick with my s4t2 intake manifold for now. I need to improve other areas on car car and engine before a better uim should be on my list. I was just hoping I could make something since I had some spare parts.

Another thought was just cutting the flange off my fd lim and welding it on my spare s4 t2 lim, and just port matching it.

I was curious what kind of real hp gains were seen by doing this mod as well?

I ordered One for my latest project, because I won't have to modify anything and it gives me a little more room for my fuel setup.

there was a guy who did a before and after in the single turbo section, and basically the two intakes perform the same, at the 400hp level

the FD upper does look better, and it does make FMIC piping a little simpler, but it doesn't add hp
