Fd stationary gears on fc

Will the fd front station gear work on a 89-91 fc? I know the rear one will.

I know the fd takes a bigger washers and bearings, so i would probably have to use the fd stuff too. I'm just wondering since i have two full sets of the front and rear stationary gears off of a fd. I just wanted to see if it will work on a fc without modification.

The teeths on the gears are stronger and the bearing inside the gear have a groove and more holes in them for better oiling and the bearing is held in place with a screw. Nose of which the fcs have.

Exactly. They are interchangable and is a reliability modification for High RPMS.

Do most people use the larger washers and bearings with the fd gears or just the gears.

Kouki FC gears are heat treated too, verified with a SAE paper on the FC engine design. I dunno how it compares to the FD units.

RB recommends using FD Torrington bearings in the front, since the contact surface is larger for the FD front stat gear. If you're going to swap stat gears, you might as well pay a little more for the better FD Torrington bearings.
