why would you?? The FD stock radiator is MUCH smaller than the stock FC radiator. That would be a downgrade.

well thats f*cked, I mean the FD produces 50 more horsepower stock and runs a good 10psi of boost, if anything it would get hotter. They either have a more efficient radiator or something..

The reason why I ask is because a gentleman with an FC read that I was selling my FD radiator. His radiator had just sprung a leak and he needs a replacement asap. When he asked if the FD radiator would work in his FC I didn't have an answer........so I'm asking you guys. I also posted this in the 3rd gen section.

I have read somewhere that the FD's cooling system was marginal when working properly. Fd's don't have a reputation as a reliable car and the cooling system has been speculated to be one problem area. Also I think the fd's radiator is longer and narrower than the FC's so there may be fittement issues in trying to use one in an FC.

What exactly is a jspec radiator? A used radiator from a Japanese junkyard?

I'm not sure that I'd consider the FC rad oversized when it can't keep the temps in line under severe track abuse.

Are the turbo and n/a radiators different? I hope you didn't spend money thinking you were getting a better radiator and actually replacing it with the same exact unit....cause well, that would suck.

I think the TII and n/a used the same radiator. The best I can tell from Mazdatix's website is the only difference(other than the S4 to S5 year split) is whether it is for an automatic or manual transmission car. So it's not an upgrade really. If you saw an improvement it would be because your old radiator had problems.
