I would have to say that using a spacer should show more benefits anyways then just grinding away material. It's not that close, and by grinding away a ton of material, you're changing the diameter of the ports at that place, which slows down, then speeds up the charge. By using a spacer, and maintaining proper inner diameter, I think (slightly) better results would show. No, I don't have data. Yes, I plan on trying this this summer.
Also does anyone know of a custom spacer/adapter made for 13b-re UIM to bolt to FC LIM?

ok im sure someone else makes these fd adapter plates!! SHOW YOURSELF!!! rom what iv heard years back somewhere makes them for 60 bucks....... im still searching for that thread.......
I will make them again but I need 10 prepaid units. The first time around I funded the spacers out of my pocket. This time I can't afford to do it. If your seriously intersest and have the money than pm me.

here is mine when it was together. I could not tell you if I had any gains since I started with the FD upper. But the car made 320hp/270tq at 6k 14psi. I was never able to get the car fully tuned, but 270 tq I thought was pretty decent. I friend of mine made me the 1 inch spacer,which really wasnt that hard.
