fcs in video games
fcs in video games
What video games can you drive an fc in? I know that you can buy a vert or hatch in GT2. I also know you can get a na or turbo fc in live for speed. This goes into another question that is kind of off topic. Does anyone here play LFS? If you've never heard of it, it's like an online multiplayer racing game with decent graphics, good physics, supports force feedback, and you can drive an fc in the free demo! Anyway, back to the main question. What other games out there allow you to race our cars?
Heh, I played a friend's GT3 game using a FC... I couln't keep the thing on the road. Of course, it had 500 horsepower...
*note: this friend used a gameshark to get a car THOUSANDS of hp, I have no idea if the 500 hp FC was legit in the game or not*

I can't get over 298mph with the Escudo. I run out of road on the oval.
The original Need for Speed for PS1 has an FD in it.
The only games I know of with FCs have already been mentioned.

All suspension settings to lowest value.
TCS -> 0
ASM -> 100
Front spoiler -> lowest value
Rear spoiler -> highest value
Gear -> 1st - 5.418
2nd - 3.397
3 - 2.378
4 - 1.754
5 - 1.363
6 - 1.117
Final - 2.430
My auto setting is at lvl 43 if that helps?
That's good for 550 or so MPH on the oval if you do it right with the stage 4 turbo kit at about 1850hp.

Gran Turismo III is the best game for realism on the FC, but they only have one model, and that is kind of lame. GT2 has more models, including 'verts, but the game itself isn't as real as GTIII.
Yup, gt2 has verts for sure. They have more hp in the game than in real life though if I remember correctly. You guys should definately download live for speed. It's free and its sick. Have you ever played a game on a force feedback wheel? It makes it way more realistic than a gamepad. Ive got the logitech momo wheel...its sick

You can do that without a gameshark, Yak.
Escudo + Turbo Stage 4 = 1900hp = I forget how fast but the front end came up and it hit like 500mph or so... on the test oval of course.

I find that the best cars for retarded speed and handling have got to be the indy cars. Take an indy car and use the gameshark to double the horsepower and you got yourself and unbeatable car.
Tokyo Extreme Racing 2 for PS2 is a great game for racing car vs car. I have not had a chance to play part 3 that is in stores now for 20 bucks. If you can get a copy of part 2 it is a great game.
Yeah, I play LFS. But the XR GT and XR GT Turbo are both fictional... sure they have roughly similar specs, but..
I enjoy LFS quite a bit, if you have the full version, search for "Mirther" weeknights between 9 and 10 pm EST for the best chance of finding me.
Looking forward to more in-depth suspension modelling in the next LFS patch.. and possibly aero refinements too...
