Arrow Which FC's have no sunroof (besides GTUs)

I know in '86 there was the super base that didn't have it, does anyone have any factual info to suggest that 87 and 88's also had NO sunroof? The 89-91 all got sunroof, except for the GTUs obviously. I'm looking for the lightest possible FC. If anyone has any leads on a clean one w/ a blown motor...I'm looking.

You want the "super base", it wasn't the lowliest base because it came w/ aluminum hood etc. I have heard these were built first to gain good EPA figures due to their lighter weight. Mine '86 super base was first purchased in '87 w/ 10k miles on it from Indianapolis Speedway Mazda and a huge dealer plate rivited on-demo car you think?

hmmm interesting, so I've heard the sunroof was an option on the base, so I'm thinking 86-88 are out there with no sunroofs. I'm guessing the lightest must be the 86 for some reason. I would think there wouldn't be much difference between the 86-88 cars as far as weight with the same options.

Base models have sunroof as an option until 89 (where they became standard). 86 sport model have it as an option too.

keep in mind, the base models have the 4 lug setup w/o the 4 piston calipers...i would think a sport model would be the way to go...and,from some threads i have read here, sunroofs seem to be a option on'em.mine has one,but i love it!
