Listen to Ranzo, he's the one that knows the real deal. About S13's with SR20DET swaps, I know of about a half dozen of them in the Puget sound Area. They come out of the cracks sometimes at autocrosses of some of our group drives that are posted in the NW Section.
BTW, I know your friend with the AE86 with N2 flares. I was at autocross this past Sunday in Bellingham with him and another club4ag member. I'm the one with the black T2 that's a tad bit loud.
