fc3s AWD conversion?

I originally had a 240sx and heard that you could swap an r14 drivetrain into it to make it AWD. I was wondering if it has been done to an fc3s before and how plausible it is. Ive already searched and couldnt find anything on it. (I love the fc but I snowboard alot and it would be awsome if I could take it up to the passes too)

it has been done, but in a full on race car with a 3rotor, I am not trying to be a dick, but if you have to ask then it is outside of your capability. =/

i just know, I'll try to find pictures of that car in question for you. From what i remember it was built in the states at rod millen's shop for the pikes peak, then it was sold to re amemiya in japan, was one of their show cars for a little while. It was then rotting behind their shop for a number of years and i think the last i heard it was sold to someone in new zealand?

here are some pics for you.

and i wasn't talking **** about you, i just know that its outside to capability of anyone who would come on this forum to ask for information about it. You'd have to pretty much be a professional chassis guy to do it.

Seriously, even if you were an ASE cert mechanic with lots of money its probably outside of your means. It is not a simple bolt in like the 240, it basically takes completely redesigning the entire engine bay. The motor has to be relocated since the place where the transfer case for the front portion would be is where the motor currently is. There was a thread about this not too long back, actually. It has several pictures of the car mention above.

The 240sx awd conversion is not as hard as some other cars. The r32 skyline chasis is very similar to the 240sx chasis. There is fabrication involved, but not as much since the full r32 subframe basically will fit on a 240sx
