FC3S Air Conditioning HELP
It's getting hot as hell here in FL and i need my ac running. I need a belt but the pulleys on the compressor dont line up with the pulleys on the water pump. I cant remember the type of compressor but it starts with a D, sorry haha. Just somethings about the area: i have a two belt alternator pulley that was installed when i bought the car, im not sure if that could have altered anything with the A/C. Besides that is it possible for anyone to let me know everything i need to run A/C properly? also this weird thing happens where once in a while i'll turn the A/C on just for ***** and it starts blowing. I dont know anything about A/C tho so how is that possible??

The AC compressor belt only wraps around the eccentric shaft pulley, the compressor pulley, and the tensioner pulley. It does not wrap aroundthe water pump pulley. Only the alternator belt and air pump belt wrap around the water pump pulley.
To properly run your AC, you need th compressor, a condenser, evaporator, drier, all the associated plumbing and a fully charged, non-leaking system.

If all of your lines are still installed correctly, which I would assume they probably are if the compressor is still in place, then in theory all you need to do is put a belt on your compressor. You would probably want to replace the refrigerant too.

I dont know the proper terminology.....but one of the challenges you will encounter is that the
original refrigerant is no longer available.
You will have to do an upgrade to the modern stuff.

thanks for all the responses. It actually has been upgraded to the new freon. i see that i was confused where the belts go but that small pulley to the left of the compressor doesnt line up with the compressor if it should. its a little far back. is there anyway someone could show me a picture of all the components and belt positions? im not sure which parts i have now that you mention a drier etc.

That's because the compressor belt doesn't touch the water pump. It comes of the drive pulley, goes around a smaller pulley and the compressor.
Dual belt alternator pulley should not affect the air conditioning system at all. They only allow a second belt to turn the water pump pulley after the air pump has been removed.
If you turn your AC on, even if you don't have the compressor spinning, the blower motor should still push air through the vents. It just won't be cold.

Does the main pulley [biggest one at the bottom] have 4 places for belts on it? The front two [PS and AC] are removable [I took them off since I don't have either]
So your fan doesn't work all the time? Bad logicon [the thing with the buttons and sliders and the back piece to it].
Your Microtech can not affect any thing related to the AC/heating systems
