FC Wing Removal...
Okay, I'm about to remove the spoiler on my S5 GXL, but I can't find my Hayne's manual for the life of me. I'm just wondering what I'm about to get myself into. Is there any adhesive holding the thing on that I should worry about? How many screws? Any help would be appreciated so I can improve the looks of my FC. Thanks.

Shouldn't be any adhesive.
There are six fasteners- the front two are accessible from the top after the little round plastic covers are popped off and the remaining four are nuts that you get to from inside the car.
You'll have to peel the rear interior trim away to find these and use a 10mm socket on a rather long extension to reach 'em.

^LOL, thanks guys. I decided to go out there and gung ho it, but I'm glad for the response. Looks MUCH better now! I'll snap some quick pics of it in a moment.
EDIT: Nevermind, I'll have to wait for the cam to charge.

Yes it was the original S5 spoiler, and no I'm not too fond of it. I personally would prefer the wingless look or go with the S4 sport spoiler.
Also, no these are not stang wheels, they're even worse! They suck! They're ugly!!! I need to replace them, but I lack the funds necessary and I have other issues that need my attention (i.e. TII swap or rebuild w/ streetport, whichever is cheaper.)

You would do much better with the Mustang wheels. Correct offset, correct bolt pattern, cheap, and SUPER lightweight. I see lots of racers with those wheels.
The S4 Sport spoiler has much better aero properties than the S5 wing. When I went to the Sport spoiler, I noticed a difference on the data acquisition.

Depends on what your definition of better is. In a racing situation, it has better aero in that it exhibits less drag and still adds some weight to the rear of the car. Some like the looks of the S5 better. For street purposes, I would say that whatever suits your fancy but if you are looking to cut .5 sec off your lap times, you might want to try the Sport spoiler.

^LOL, I'm personally not too concerned with the performance aspects of either, seeing that they are minimal at best. I'm looking at it from a purely asthetic view.

And you are correct to then set your car up as you would like it. I have a street car with the S5 wing that I like the looks of and a race car with the Sport spoiler that I don't care how it looks, only how it works. I like them in all flavors.

I'd like to mold the sport spoiler into the body, but don't really see that happening, lol.
Anyways, for the time being, I've got to fill in these holes with something, lol.

I know of two S4's sitting at a junkyard with these spoilers. If you really have trouble finding them, lemme know and I'll go snag 'em up and we can work something out.
