FC Wheel & Offset advice

So I was hoping to get 235/40r18 for my FC but I hear people saying 17 are better
what are the best sizes to run for just going to the track and what are good sizes to run for beginner drifters
also what’s the best offset

I ran 17x9+15. I think this is when my car didn’t have overfedera. Use a tire stretch calculator to do the math on your offset.

9s fit without overfenders? Did you have coilovers?

It’s been 8 years since I ran that setup so I forget if I had widebody on before that setup, but I think it fit stock body. Now I’m on 18x10.5 front and 18x11.5 rear so a whole different ball game.

Search for some pictures of a similar setup.

good point about the coilovers. Yes I ran coilovers with the 17x9. It’ll allow you to run wider wheels since the spring diameter is drastically reduced.

If you like you car low, 17s are the way to go. 18s have a tendency to rub on the frame in the front (vertical travel).
