FC Turbo II for sale...
There's an fc turbo II for sale around my area. I was just wondering what kind of deal this is. It is black with minor rust just on the rear quarter panel, and a bit of oxidation around the spooler. The front bumper was clipped, needs to replace. Everything else about the body looks good, the paint is still dark.
The interior would look good if it was clean, but the passenger seat has a tore on the side support. Looks like all the electrical gauges and systems to be working properly.
My only concern is the engine. The engine has 136,000 miles, and has never been rebuilt or had new apex seals. It idles at 1800rpm. "Pretty bad I know" When I drove it the turbo still seems strong, and the clutch didn't slip when I stepped on it.
I could get it from the guy for less than 2200. What do you guys think? Would it be a deal? Plan on rebuilding the engine anyways once I get it.
One more question, how hard is it to rebuild a rotary, I’m very familiar with rebuilding entire piston engines. Thanks again.

under $2500 on a prefectly fine running T2 is a good price, but the rust is very scary... really the only way to get rid of car cancer if to cut it out.

The factory welds multiple pieces together to make it one.
Seams just inside the corners. If you pull the interior trim, you can see whee it overlaps and they fill the welds
