Fc short shifter

What's up guys. I was wondering if this short shifter is worth it or no? http://kspecracing.com/i-785715.aspx Is there any other one for under $100? I want to buy myself one after my friend bought his on his 2013 ST.

Since they don't have a pic of the actual part there's no way of knowing what you'll get.

That pic shows a different shifter all together that is not compatable with an FC at all.
look up C's shifter,Mazdatrix short throw shifter.
Ebay stuff like a Miata short throw "will work" if you want to save money and fart with it but I personally go to the name brands as they are proven.

Get a name brand short shifter like the one from mazdatrix.

Also, you need to have a good boot on the trans tunnel or your new shifter will rattle like a bitch.

Naturally, with any Chinese Ebay part you never know what you're getting till it's in hand but both "Ebay Miata" ss kits I've dealt with were fine and only a fraction of the name brand price. Both kits came with OEM factory packaged bushings too.

I think the most important boot is the one that covers the bushes, held with the three bolts, not the big tunnel rubber.
Both are less important than properly installed bushes, which usually involves shimming.

Don't save some money for a quality shifter or stick with the OEM unit and replace your bushings for less than the cost of an "ebay" shifter. I pulled a shifter of a FC on a junkyard "why not?" I thought. I installed it in my Turbo II and it was awful. To much effort, hard to find gears etc.

I agree on the bushes. Replaced mine and ran two springs in there and it made the shifter feel good/no slop.

I've got a Mazdatrix Short throw on mine works great, You can hope that Ebay Shifters worth it and go for it or you can just save a bit. I've seen a couple people when parting out they sell their $100+ short throws for like $45.
