So, again...my bad. Sorry for taking my bad day out on ya!

No worries bro. Hope your day gets better though. Perhaps if one makes some AaronCake comments like those above you're day will end on a good note

Oh my, what an odd direction this thread has gone. We start out discussing hood dampers and end up with Aaron Cake's sexual prowess. All that, and a whistling cat. Sounds like.......... never mind.

Back on topic....

I only mentioned using the FD set up because: A) The levarage points used for the dampers on the hinges are very similar and: B) the hoods (if both aluminum) are roughly the same weight. That being said, we could probably use the pressure specs from a FD kit to find a shorter strut body to fit our needs.

All you need to do is go measure where you want to mount them, from that point measure the length of the strut fully compressed (from eye to eye), measure the length extended (how far up you want the hood). Nearly all the hood struts will create more than enough pressure to lift the weight of an aluminum hood. But too much can cause it to bow up when closed. This is not rocket science by any means. Me and Garfinkle worked it out on his FD and got it done with a 2 strut set-up for less than 50 bux. Now I am going to try the same thing for my FC. I will keep you guys posted.

Deffinatly, I would love to see it. I'm going to be doing an engine drop soon and I'm looking on making it fancy.
