LargeOrangeFont, I'm not sure I understand what you mean by this???

"Also, a pro tip for the inner seals - Just press them in until they are flush with the back of the hub. Don't press them down to the bearing race, or they wont seal on the spindle properly."

Don't you just press them down in until they reach the seat in the hub??

jdonnell, I think you are confusing the rear/inner races with the rear/inner rubber oil seal. the suggestion is when you press the oil seal in, don't go all the way - leave it flush with the back of the hub.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I didn't realize he was referring to the rubber seal but after you explained it I see now. I guess I was over thinking it. Thx!

New Hub races pressed in really nice. I froze them over night and tapped them in today with little effort. I put a picture of all the pieces disassembled for anyone wondering about doing hubs. Thanks for the tip to heat up the hubs to remove the original races - it made life easy.

Those are looking great! Nice work.

Check the play on your wheels after a little bit of use. I have had to re torque my hubs after swapping front bearings. I tighten them to 25 ft lbs. After a couple trips to the track I had a little play and had to torque the hubs again.

Hmm, I don't have the black washer that is labeled "flat side up". Any idea where I can get one, ie part number or anything? I assumed that my bearings have never been touched, but obviously they had and that washer was lost.

I'd try your local rx7club classifieds section, kijiji, or similar, if your local junkyard doesn't have one.

The washer is called a 'Washer, Claw'.
Mazda Part Number 1011-33-043.
