FC dash to FD dash ?

Is it possible to put the FD dash and center console into a FC...I love my FC, but since we have totally crazy plans for the rest of the car (nissan motor) we may as well go all out and do some other crazy stuff...and the FD dash seems to be the most functional dash as far as a track car goes...the way everything is angled towards the driver...its fantastic.....just curious if anyone has seen it done.....or if it can be done

I'm sure it would be a major pain. But I'd be interested to know if anyone has done that also. Would make the FC a lot more modern looking inside....

The FC and FD dashes are completely different shapes, because the cars are completely different shapes. For starters, unless the two dashes are almost exactly the same width, you’ll never get it to look right. All the mounting points will be totally different, so how are you going to mount it? Not to knock creative modifying, but the end result simply wouldn’t justify the immense hassle.

The FD is a completely different animal. I'd give you a huge thumbs up if you can get it to work.

Well I wasn't talking about the dash as much as I was the part about putting in a nissan motor, thats gonna take big bucks.

One question about that: Why?

I can see it now, you get your interior all ripped apart and the engine and driveline out with all the new stuff you wanna put in there and you sit down and stare at it all and think "what the **** am I doing?"
