FC 1988 rear seats, infant car seat
Hi, im new to the community, been trying to get any info in FC 1988 convertible rear seats and how difficult is to get it? I have a 2 year old and can't find any info online about if its doable to get a rear seat to install and get the booster seat on the back. Does anyone knows?
I know there were some 2+2 versions of the FC but they were rare in the U.S. They were only available in the coupes as far as I know. Would they install into a convertible or did some convertibles in Japan have them I don't know. They were pretty small so a booster for a 2year old may fit but I don't know if todays infant seats would.
Found this thread. From a quick skim it doesn't sound promising.

I'm planning to buy a FC convertible but I want to know if it has the bolts or the anchors for the booster seat where the rear seats would be, I know that is where the soft-top folds but what about if I remove all those panels would it have the the anchors?. The law in WI states the car seat can only be in rear seats unless is a two seat car, but is not clear if the booster seat can be in the front passenger seat due to being a two seater car.
I have a set of maroon leather rear seats stored away. I think it's a complete kit. I keep meaning to sell them and never actually getting around to it.
Anyways, they aren't going to fit in a convertible. There isn't nearly enough space behind the rear seats to make it work. On a coupe they fold down and then when the backs are raised they clip into strikers on the rear speaker towers, so it isn't just the depth of the seat portion but also the backrest that makes it unfeasible.

When my daughter was young, I used a forward-facing car seat and then a booster in my FC no problem. In my state in the front seat was fine if there was no rear seat. I don't recall using an infant seat in it though. We must not have gone anywhere without my wife until she was a little older and, in the forward-facing seat.

i have an 88 vert, back seats are not an option and with the way the spare is, no way to put one. I would never admit that back in the day we took a ride to key west, dad driving me in the passenger and brother in "back seat". still cant believe we did that.
Vert never had back seats but the coupe was definitely an option. I've had my children (one at a time of course) in the front passenger seat with their car seat and now they are older with booster seats.
